Developer Agreement
Last updated and effective: September 30, 2026
Eekaam SMC (Pvt) Ltd, Karachi, Pakistan (trading as Eekaam)
1. The agreement
This agreement is between Eekaam SMC (Pvt) Ltd ("Eekaam") and you ("Developer") and covers the Eekaam developer platform: the Admin API, webhooks, OAuth, the theme store and the app marketplace. You accept it by clicking "Accept" in the developer or partner dashboard before publishing; we record the date and version. The Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and, if you are a partner, the Partner Program Agreement also apply.
2. Themes
- Themes must be your original work or properly licensed; you warrant they do not infringe anyone's rights and contain no tracking, remote code or hidden functionality.
- Themes must pass our review (rendering, accessibility basics, no broken policy links, no fake reviews or testimonials in presets) and stay compatible; we may delist a theme that breaks.
- Revenue share is 80% to you, 20% to Eekaam, paid as set out in the Partner Program Agreement.
- Merchants who buy your theme receive a licence to use it on one store; you keep copyright.
3. Apps and API access
- Least privilege. Request only the OAuth scopes your app needs, and explain each one on your listing. Merchants see and approve every scope before installing and again when scopes change.
- Privacy and terms. Every app must publish a privacy policy URL and terms URL, which we show to merchants before install.
- Merchant and customer data. You process it only to provide your app to that merchant, under a written agreement with the merchant where you act as their processor. No selling, no advertising use, no combining with data from other merchants, no retention after uninstall beyond 30 days (or the period the law requires).
- Data-subject requests. When a merchant deletes a customer or their store, you delete the related data within 30 days of our webhook or notice.
- Security. Store tokens encrypted, use TLS, verify webhook signatures, report a breach affecting merchant data to security@eekaam.com within 24 hours of confirming it, and cooperate with our investigation.
- Rate limits and fair use. Respect the published limits; do not scrape, bulk-export or resell platform data.
4. Review, listing and removal
We review every submission and version before it is listed and may reject or delist for security, quality, legal or policy reasons, or for merchant complaints, with reasons where practical. You are responsible for support to merchants who install your app or theme.
5. Fees
Publishing is free. Paid apps use Eekaam billing with the revenue share shown in the developer dashboard at the time you set a price; theme sales follow section 2.
6. Intellectual property and brand
You keep the rights to your app or theme and grant Eekaam a licence to host, review, display and distribute it on the marketplace. You may use the Eekaam name and logo only as the brand guidelines allow, and must not suggest Eekaam built or endorses your product.
7. Term, termination and changes
Either side may end this agreement with 30 days' notice; Eekaam may suspend API access immediately for a security risk or a breach. On termination your listings are removed and your API credentials revoked; you must delete merchant data as section 3 requires. We may change this agreement with 30 days' notice by email and will ask you to accept the new version before your next publish.
The liability limits, disclaimers and governing-law clauses of the Terms and Conditions apply. Contact: developers@eekaam.com · Eekaam SMC (Pvt) Ltd, Karachi, Pakistan.
